Notes: It's possible to make this very short hike into a 4-mile loop by scrambling off-trail from the lake up to the Pacific Crest Trail and then heading north on the ridge above Smith Lake. Turn left down the old roadbed when the PCT meets the north end of the Ruffey Lakes Trail.
Peak wildflower bloom at Taylor Lake is typically from early June through the end of July, but there may be some flowers blooming from mid-May until mid-August.*
