Notes: There are a number of places you can explore in the Warner Mountains. The trail segment highlighted here — the Fremont National Recreation Trail from the South Fork Crooked Creek Trailhead to the Swale Trailhead — can deliver you to cross-country routes up to the summits of Twelvemile Peak, McDowell Peak, and Crook Peak. If you'd rather do roadside wildflowers, Forest Road 3615 passes by lots of interesting meadows and creeks, and you can also drive to the Drake Peak Lookout. (The lookout is not actually on Drake Peak, but you can hike off-trail to Light Peak and Drake Peak from there.)
Peak wildflower bloom in the North Warner Mountains is typically from early June through the end of July, but there may be some flowers blooming from mid-May until mid-August.*
