Mission Peak

Chelan County, Washington

Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest

Fees: none

Activity: hiking + mountain biking

Elevation: 5648'-6876'

Current status (as of 1/22/25): not blooming

Notes: Forest Service maps might make it look like you can approach this trailhead from the west, but the road is washed out, so you have to go up from Wenatchee via Beehive Reservoir — and even then, low-clearance vehicles will probably want to stop at the Mission Ridge Trailhead. Note that this trail is also open to bicycles (and motorcycles).

It's also possible to park at the Mission Ridge Ski Area, hike or bike up to the ridge crest, and go cross-country to Mission Peak.

Peak wildflower bloom on Mission Peak is typically from early June through mid-July, but there may be some flowers blooming from early May until early August.*

Typical year:

Featured plants: Anemone patens var. nuttalliana, Aquilegia flavescens, Clematis occidentalis
