Discussion | Subspecies corymbosa is most often mistaken for Orobanche californica with which it was formerly associated taxonomically. The two species are very similar morphologically; Orobanche corymbosa, with only two subspecies, has much less morphological variability. Except for a small area of sympatry in eastern California, the two species are otherwise allopatric. (Discussion copyrighted by Flora of North America; reprinted with permission.) |
