Of conservation concern. Erigeron lemmonii is found only in the Scheelite Canyon, Huachuca Mountains (Cochise County), on Fort Huachuca Military Reservation. The basal portion of the stems may be “subnaked and rhizomatous in appearance, but apparently not subterranean” (A. Cronquist 1947).
